I remember so clearly coming home from winter holidays as a teenager. My clearest memory was actually in grade 9 gym class. I had come from Jamaica the day before and I recall being in gym class jumping rope on that shiny squeaky floor wishing for all my might that I could be transported back to the beach I had just been ripped away from.

Oh my sweet mommas! It has been a while since I was this excited for an event. Maybe not since my St. Lucia retreat (which sadly will be ending in 2 days). So because I knew I’d be in a funk when the fun in the sun came to an end, I had to bring in some sunshine. That sunshine is coming in the form of the Groove Master trainer herself, Ms. Brooke Yanzte.

Better Together

Raise your hand if you are glowing from that group cleanse? Green Smoothies delight! The best part of a green smoothie cleanse, for me, is that even though I may be eating my meals on my own, I know that oodles of peeps around the world are eating/drinking the same thing as me. There is a delicious sense of community that comes from sharing a meal. That for sure is my fave part of my classes.

Cooking For A Cause

What could possibly better than cooking and eating amazing food? Cooking and eating amazing food for a fantastic cause!

Thanks to the initiative of my friend Noa, we have teamed up with Second Harvest Toronto to run a fundraising cooking class where all proceeds from the class go right to this organization.

So what are you doing Monday night? It can’t be this much fun.

If you are unfamiliar with Second Harvest, what this delicious organization does is collect food that would otherwise go to waste from food depot’s around the city and deliver to the peeps who need it the most- the front lines of hunger, if you will. Food donors include grocery stores, food manufacturers and distributors.
