Last night we wrapped up the final class of the season. The kitchen is now closed for the summer and my version of holidays are about to start. What is my version? It usually involves loads of cooking, loads of bicycling, a little travel, much writing, researching, and reading, and lots of days spent in the sunshine. That’s my idea of holidays. So I will, of course continue bringing you deliciousness each and every day of the week- I just don’t tend to have any reason to put on anything other than a swim suit or yoga clothes. Perfect right?

As part of wrapping up this year of classes, that has seen over 400 people pass through my kitchen. I have begun a little project, inviting people who have been touched by my work in any way shape or form, to share how it has impacted their lives. It may be that what I do lit a small spark, or maybe someone or something else lit that spark and the work we do maybe offered you the how, or the why you needed to make some changes.

This is part of a document we are putting together in an effort to increase support for our Scholarship For Healing- to show the amazingly positive affect that healthy eating, thinking and living can have on short term and long term health.

Apply To Be Out Apprentice!

We are already interviewing and the absolute deadline is July 15th. If we fill the spots before then, well you’ve snoozed and losed.

If you think you can finish school and immediately set-up shop and think it will all run smooth sailing than you are as insane as I was when I tried that. Whether your goal is to set up your own cooking school of your own magical design or continue on as we sail this ship to lands far, far away (okay- maybe not far away but bigger!), than this is the ultimate learning opportunity.

ULTIMATE I SAY!!!

WE’RE GOING BACK TO ST. LUCIA!!!

That is the first bit of excitement. I am getting too excited and just jumped right into thing. Let me slow down, I’ll tell you what’s coming and you can decide what you want to delight in. As you may have noticed if you follow me on FB and Twitter- things are changing around here. With the launch of my new website, the addition of guest instructors at my cooking school, major features in major mags and on National television and stuff like that, well it has suddenly occured to me that my biz is working, thriving and even more exciting is that the thriving of my business is a direct result of people’s health improvement and interest in living a better life. That’s a pretty Awesometown thing, don’t you think? I am telling you this because this week marks the 3 YEAR ANNIVERSRY of my business. I made it well past the 2 year fail mark of small businesses and great opportunities to appeal to wider audience continue to be presented to me. I LOVE IT!

Coming Up In The Kitch

Oh my sweet lovers in a dangerous time, I seem glued to the news these days wanting to learn as much as I can about the situation in Japan and at the same time wishing it weren’t so.

Our planet is shifting and as these great big shifts come forth we have a choice to make- further the problem or be, ourselves, a solution. It is at times like these that I am so over the moon grateful, first and foremost for where I am blessed to live, but also for field of work that I am in- that I have the honour through my blog and classes and various other events to bring some laughter, inspiration and most importantly- health into people’s lives. A population whose health is out of balance, is a sure sign that our environment is too, and vice versa.

Better Together

Raise your hand if you are glowing from that group cleanse? Green Smoothies delight! The best part of a green smoothie cleanse, for me, is that even though I may be eating my meals on my own, I know that oodles of peeps around the world are eating/drinking the same thing as me. There is a delicious sense of community that comes from sharing a meal. That for sure is my fave part of my classes.
