The result? A super sweet glimpse into the inner workings of some of our UnDiet vibrant living rockstars! Do you know Chef Doug McNish? You must - and if you don't, what rock do you live under?? He is a raw vegan chef and recent author of the AWESOME cookbook Eat Raw, Eat Well. We asked him to play along and he happily obliged. Check out his responses below!

As you know, since mid-Fall, I have been breaking down the creed, line-by-line. With so many peeps loving our Tote bags and Posters, using our creed as their screen saver on their phones and desktops, we got to thinking- some of you just might be making efforts to live the creed too! Hence, an idea was born- The Living The Creed Contest. We were flooded by amazing entries, and quite frankly, overwhelmed by how lovingly so many of you are bringing my own person philosophy into your world to help spread the goodness and health. It is now your turn to vote!

What does Real Food mean to you? My dedication to Real Food came when my intestines caught a fever and got all hot and bothered (read: bloody, inflamed, and constricted). Despite my GI telling me that I should eat what I wanted and nothing I ate would affect a disease of the digestive system, I chose to differ. I decided to commit to Real Food. It may have been an obsession for a while, was a bit of a tough transition at first, but ultimately became an effortless lifestyle. The basic premise is this: we have a right to know exactly what we are eating. You can't do this with potato chips, cantoned orange juice, tinned spaghetti or boxed dinners. Food manufacturers don't have to put ingredients of ingredients. That means that things that sound harmless like 'natural flavours' could actually be a collection of synthetic chemicals derived from plant/animal sources. You heard the one about food manufacturers using a substance that comes from beaver ass- specifically the 'anal sac'- to make vanilla flavour, right? That falls into the 'natural flavour' category reference.

For real. I had been thinking about it and when it came to put pen to paper (or index fingers to keyboard- yes, two finger typer over here), it just flowed out. Why? Because I live it of course. Every mindful moment of my day, I do my best to lighten up, smile and always remember that Today, most certainly, is the day. We have been getting emails and letters (and even photos!) from around the globe, with people sharing how they are doing their best to live this creed as their own manifesto. It's become art on their walls, backgrounds on their phones, wallpaper on their desktop, and of course- their go to tote bag. For this reason, I have something I would like share... in a moment. First- we made a few creed inspired changes around the kitchen (that went with a few changes on my biz site). We took down my old signature decal that greets guests in my kitchen.

This article was rejected from The Huffington Post.

Is There Something Wrong With Government Regulated Food Guides?

Do you look down at your dinner and see 680 calories? Perhaps a healthy ratio of carbs to proteins to fats? Maybe you see some fibre, vitamin C, beta carotene and just the right amount of Omega 3’s.

This is weird right? Looking at a plate of food without actually seeing the food.

Or in the top 10 for sure.

My bestest friends over at Hamilton Beach Canada sent me the sweetest of gifts and the latest was their 1½ Quart Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Maker. All this time I thought ice cream made in a blender was as good as anything else, but let me tell you- that machine did some magic to our blend of magic.

I was also surprised that there was really not much of a process involved. We blended the goods together in our blender, poured it into our ice cream maker and shazaam alakazaam, a half hour later we were ooing and aahing over the amazing ice creamy creation we had collectively created.

I have been doing my very, very best to abide the rules I wrote myself with my 21 Days To Health, program. My most favourite challenge of course is on day 3 when we must get ourselves to bed early. There are three things I love to bits that help me sleep like a baby.

Sleep mask to block out the light.
Lavender essential oil sprinkled on my pillow
3 capsules of Peaceful Spirit- my most fave bed time supplement in the whole wide world (more on that next week)
I have been loving these things even more as I spent just three nights last weekend on the other side of the country, 3 time zones away in Vancouver and then came back right in the swing of things. And you know what? No jet lag! Not even for one night. It was amazing.
I digress, as today I sit in the audience at TedX Toronto, invited to participate as a delegate, I wanted my brain powered up and ready to rock. And you know what does it? A green juice breakfast and a smoothie brunch.
