Perhaps we’re too extreme? This article was rejected from The Huffington Post.
Is There Something Wrong With Government Regulated Food Guides?
Do you look down at your dinner and see 680 calories? Perhaps a healthy ratio of carbs to proteins to fats? Maybe you see some fibre, vitamin C, beta carotene and just the right amount of Omega 3’s.
This is weird right? Looking at a plate of food without actually seeing the food.

You have been asking me for ages when my book was coming out. And kept saying, when the time is right.
The time my fair lady and gent lovers is now and I have you to thank for it. So THANK YOU!
The contract has been signed and I am soon to be a published author!
As you have come to know me, you know that I don’t play by the rules. I don’t follow diets, my recommendations don’t fall into any dietary group like vegan or veg or macro. The only rule really is to keep it light and fun.
It was this approach that you supported from the beginning- over three years ago when I began my biz and my blog. It was this approach that saw you loving to bits my first ebooks and cooking classes. And it was this approach that landed me the sweetest of dedicated, enlightened, open, intelligent and inspiring readers in the whole wide world. Every day, your comments on this blog, on Facebook and on Twitter keep me inspired to keep on breaking rules in an attempt to help all who wish, to achieve abundant health in their own lives.
It’s all fine and well for me to dance in my kitchen, create recipes, write about them and host cooking classes and retreats. But without you showing up for it all, none of this could be happening.

It is time to meet our great and bigger team. We’re growing over here and with this amazing group of people, so far we seem to be side-stepping the pains that can often come with it. You all know (and I’m sure) love Ms. Jen by now, with all her amazing info and her generously skilled hand at keeping me afloat when I take on enough to drown us both.
My love sweet lover sometimes refer to my rock star assistant Jen as my little fish (also known as Flipper).

I know, I know. You like to read the blog while you sip your morning tea, or eat your breakie or when you sit down at your desk at work. I get it. But not today I’m afraid. Today you have to come back here at 10:45. At 10:45 this morning there will be loads of goodness. All the goodness in fact that I cooked up on the Marilyn Denis show this morning.
See you at 10:45ish.

Well if Okra as a top post was a massive surprise, this one is the complete opposite. Kale chips have enticed the main stream over to the green and leafy side for a while now. And this is the best way to eat it for sure!

Well, you knew chocolate was coming. This was a sweet a made for my sweet last Valentine’s day. More people have told me they made this than any other recipe. No surprise really- who doesn’t love a mix of salty nuttiness and chocolate? These really are amazing and if you have yet to try them, you must!

I love that this one made it into the top five posts. There is a very great lesson in this recipe and that is, don’t be afraid to play around and experiment. This recipe was created by a massive amount of rice I had leftover from a class and has turned into many people’s favourite crackers. Don’t ever throw out extra food, there is always something yummy that can be done with it, and if it doesn’t turn out- at least you had some play time anyway.
