Well isn’t that video a blast from the past? Filmed nearly two years ago over a few days in my old kitchen with my un-sun-bleached hair, with plenty of morning-meghan-face to giggle at. This video has nearly hit the 10,000 views milestone and so I thought I would share it once again here as it is really pretty straightforward in terms of how easy it is to sprout your own sprouts.

This is the fourth or maybe fifth time I have done this cleanse and everytime I miss the same thing. Crunching! I miss chewing. The toughest is when I used to try out the eight or ten day juice fasts and then even when you start eating food, you have to ease yourself back on to the solids. I don’t know about you, but in the last three days, what I found the toughest on the Green Smoothie Cleanse was putting all these fresh, organic veggies into the blender without being able to crunch their goodness.

Kale chips are kinda gearing towards the crack of healthy food addicts. Is that terribly un-PC to say? I’m over it. Despite people’s tendency to call me Rachel when they don’t know my name (I think it’s the Jewess thing), I would go with Sunshine. I fear for the future of my unconceived children.
The point being I love the sun and sun bathing and it would take a massive hole in the ozone directly above me and being buck-naked at high noon for me to put any kind of sunblock on. Has sunscreen helped reduce rates of skin cancer? Nopers. Is it nearly impossible to find a safe rated sunscreen? It sure is. This leads me to believe it’s best to avoid using it as much as possible. Now, if you are in a situation where you will be exposed to a load of rays mid-afternoon, cover up and be sensible. But think about these things:

Josh and I had harvested just bundles of wild leeks and I had intended to give them out to my Healthy Meal Prep workshop attendees. In all the excitement over the amazingly delicious food we were enjoying- I forgot to give them out and they forgot to ask for them. Alas- I had a whole [...]

By request (and so many emails) I have updated my recipe index. I will do my best to keep this updated as regularly as possible (at least more often than twice a year), but really, I just like you to get good and familiar with the old guys before you give the newbies a try. [...]
