I HATE meal planning! Hate it, hate it, hate it. But, alas, it is essential. I have found, that the only way I can stay on track with the great eating hocus pocus that I like to wave my magic wand at is to plan, plan and plan some more. This has proven the only way that I can ensure there is food in my fridge when I get home to compile into an amazing meal. Now, since I know very few people who love meal planning, I thought I might lend you a hand in the mission. I called upon some of my absolute fave nutritionists, chefs, and culinary nutrition experts, to put together some fantabulous meal plans for yours and my use.

The above pic was tweet last week by @bellesjoies and we loved it to bits! As you know, since mid-Fall, I have been breaking down the creed, line-by-line. With so many peeps loving our Tote bags and Posters, using our creed as their screen saver on their phones and desktops, we got to thinking- some of you just might be making efforts to live the creed too! Hence, an idea was born- The Living The Creed Contest. We were flooded by amazing entries, and quite frankly, overwhelmed by how lovingly so many of you are bringing my own person philosophy into your world to help spread the goodness and health. It is now your turn to vote!

Most of you have heard the news. Maybe from Facebook or maybe when my friend, raw/vegan chef Doug McNish spilled the beans on Twitter. The sweet letters, tweets and comments have been pouring in so how could I not share the sweet love news right here. It’s true what you’ve heard, or what you may now be guessing. As of last week- my main man and I are engaged. Exciting? Yes. Very! Shocking? Yes. Very! I am not one of those ladies who have dreamed about my wedding since I was five. I haven’t a clue what my dress will look like. I don’t know if it will be a wedding for two or a wedding for 100. I don’t know where it will be, but I do hope the sun will be shining. I also know that even though this whole getting engaged/getting married thing was never something I strived for- but I must admit, it is sweet as can be to be doing both with most amazing man ever.

Join me in the chant! “Gluten-free renewal. Gluten-free renewal. Gluten-free renewal!” Are you ready to rock this with us? I know you have it in you. Gluten is seriously one of the tougher predators to eliminate from our life, and maybe most important. It is hiding in everything and that is just the problem. You don’t need to be celiac or test positive in the medical world to be totally and completely unhappy inside when gluten enters. Here’s the thing- gluten is like paper mache glue. What’s gluten, you ask? It’s a protein found it grains like wheat, barley, spelt, kamut and rye, and it’s taking us down the road to not-so-awesome illness. Gluten is like glue – and it gunks up our insides and affects the way we digest, think and feel. The way I see it, unless you’re feeling like your health is 100% awesometown, then there is work to be done.

What are YOU doing tomorrow!? We are super duper excited to be a part of the Just Beautiful campaign, run by Environmental Defence. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the icky sticky toxins we slather all over our bodies and faces. Yup, you know it…beauty care. Here’s watch Environmental Defence has to say about our makeup and beauty prods in Canada: Before you even make it to the breakfast table, you’ve probably used almost 15 personal care products with over 100 host of toxic ingredients. Chemicals in your face cream, your diaper cream, your shampoo and lipstick have been linked to cancer, birth defects, infertility, and a long list of health concerns. Over 1,700 cancer-causing, hormone disrupting, and allergy-inducing substances have been banned or restricted in European personal care products. But, many of these same harmful substances can still be found in Canadian products. And Health Canada doesn’t even know everything that’s in the cosmetics we use every day.

I wrote the creed in about 10 minutes. For real. I had been thinking about it and when it came to put pen to paper (or index fingers to keyboard- yes, two finger typer over here), it just flowed out. Why? Because I live it of course. Every mindful moment of my day, I do my best to lighten up, smile and always remember that Today, most certainly, is the day. We have been getting emails and letters (and even photos!) from around the globe, with people sharing how they are doing their best to live this creed as their own manifesto. It’s become art on their walls, backgrounds on their phones, wallpaper on their desktop, and of course- their go to tote bag. For this reason, I have something I would like share… in a moment. First- we made a few creed inspired changes around the kitchen (that went with a few changes on my biz site). We took down my old signature decal that greets guests in my kitchen.
