There is still one whole week to enter my fantabulous Living the Creed contest to win my creed poster plus other awesometown goodies! Do you flirt with farmers, focus on the exhale and crunch on carrots? Then this contest is for you! Entries due by February 29th!

Each week (or two) I am breaking down my creed, line, by line. Phrase by phrase. This is my manifesto- that I learned to live by to heal from an incurable disease and that I turned into this here sweet health loving inspiration I offer you. I will tell you what the creed means to me, I hope you will share what it means to you!
Crunch on Carrots (Make it your mantra of the day.)
First of all- that’s not a real tat. You knew that right? That was drawn on me by an unhealthy eating friend who is sure all I eat are carrots.
The point here is that we should all be crunching on carrots. What if at the movies, people crunched on carrots like they did chemical corn? What if people crunched on carrots instead of potato chips. What if carrots were crunched on over smoking ciggies and swigging pitchers. What if we popped carrots instead of pills. What a world it would be!
Some people used ‘Crunch on Carrots’ as they’re mantra during the Fab Detox. Given their success, I’m guessing it working for them. Perhaps our Gluten Free Cleanse peeps might also want to give it a go.
Crunch on carrots is an extension of the notion that we really all need to be eating real food. You know what I also always say, if you’re not hungry enough to eat carrots, you’re not hungry enough to be eating.
Wait- I’ve never said that. But I am going to start. And I am also going to start putting it to the test. Maybe you should too- see how you go.
Here are some my fave dips that help me to enjoy the carrots I crunch on.
I am off for a very, very sweet weekend. My first one in months, now that my book is handed in. Yay fun. I will most likely be crunching on carrots too- and likely finding other fun ways to create goodness in the kitchen.
Today is the day. Make it ridiculously awesometown. Eat fruit, lots of cherries, while thinking good thoughts. Love what you do, and do it with love. Smile at strangers. Be youthful, truthful, playful and funful. Laugh at the ridiculousness of seriousness. Ride bicycles covered in flowers. Sit through the storms, for the sunshine and rainbows will follow. Eat real food. Flirt with farmers. Crunch on Carrots.
Question Of The Day: What are your strategies to help you keep crunching on carrots, or other healthy foods?
ps. WE HAVE A WINNER! Last Wednesday, Sondi wrote about reducing food waste and we offered up a sweet Wean Green giveaway. Our winner is Julia! Woohooo! This Wednesday I posted my celebration post about finishing my book. We held a contest to see who could come to closest to the Post-it note tally. Our winner was Yadira who guessed 137 (we opted for the Price Is Right rules- nearest number without going over). The actual count was 141. Well done! Yadira will be receiving on of our Creed Posters.
Question of the Day: What is your favourite fruit or veggie to crunch the day away?

Breaking Down The ##Creed: Crunch On #Carrots http://t.co/qYTXIznT #health #wholefood #crunchoncarrots #happiness
Very simply, I just try to keep in mind that what I take in has a HUGE impact on my body and health and I want it to be a positive impact. Plus, I can concoct many delicious treats such as vegan gluten-free cookies and munch on things like bell peppers that taste better than butter-laden popcorn and corn-syrup filled candies!
fruit to crunch: honeycrisp apples
veggie: carrots
In my opinion, crunching on carrots is all about the hummus! Mmmmm
Personally, I love crunching on carrots, healthy or not
Another good one this is- your whole creed series has been amazing. Love it! Have a FANTASTIC “real” weekend!!

I have never eaten more carrots in my life than I have since doing the fabdetox!! I adopted that habit of snacking on them if I NEEDED a snack and you are absolutely right… if I don’t feel like crunching on carrots (ok sometimes I sub for celery) than I am not hungry enough to really be needing a snack after all! It really is an amazing thing.
Did you check out my sweet, carrot inspired tat? http://t.co/Q96MLLZc #carrots
GREAT post Meghan! And oh my goodness, do I ever crunch on carrots (literally)!! They’re probably my all-time favourite veggie, and I’ve got the orange-tinted hands to prove it! I have to admit I’ve been a bad blog reader lately and am only just reading about the break-down of your manifesto, but I love it! I’ve recently embarked on a similar task, inspired by Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project (more coming up on my blog next week!) I love this aspect of your manifesto in particular, and think that the world would definitely be a better place (and a less disease-ridden one) if more people ate REAL food instead of chemicals. Amen to carrots!
