Just a quickie on this holiday Sunday to ask you to keep some time in your upcoming weekend open to come by and say hello to me at The 2010 Toronto Vegetarian Association’s Vegetarian Food Fair. This is one of the largest of it’s kind. I will have a booth there this year so I will be around the whole weekend long, and am also kicking off the amazing line-up of cooking demos.
Making Love In The Kitchen with Meghan: Doing It Veggie Style
Cooking Demo
Saturday, September 11th at 12:00pm sharp
(They are only letting peeps in 10 mins before the start time and only letting in 150 people. Last year there was standing room only so come early!)
Here is the description of my demo:
With humour and a contagious passion, Nutritionist and Chief Love Maker of The Love In The Kitchen Academy, Meghan Telpner will demonstrate how easy (and of course delicious) it is to make some of these staple foods from scratch including bean dips and crackers, milk substitutes, breakfast cereals & bars, and of course a few sweet treats and smoothie greatness. As we transition towards a more plant based, compassionately minded way of eating, we often start to look for ways to do so with less impact on the environment while maximizing the positive impact on our health. All too often a switch to a plant based diet results in the reliance on many packaged and processed foods. Do it Veggie Style With Compassion.
