The Green Smoothie Cleanse is coming August 6th. Get your tutorial now! My first ever Green Smoothie Cleanse Vitamix Incentive! Get your blend on. And enter to win nourishtea and amp up your smoothie!

While I was up at my cottage in early July, when it was a gazillion degrees outside, I decided it was the perfect conditions for a soup. Why? Because that day I had harvested a very special ingredient from the nearby woods which makes a soup extra powered healthy.

I rummaged through the fridge and pulled together my soup ingredients.

Guess The Ingredients!

Clues:

  • 11 main ingredients
  • 10 of which were locally grown
  • 7 grow underground
  • I don’t eat white potatoes
  • The dry spices are not included in those 11 ingredients (meaning you don’t need to know these)

Look at the pic very carefully and give your best guess of what went into my soup.

The first person who guesses correctly, or closest to the correct list of 11 ingredients will win the box set of e-tutorials, valued at over $130. The first person to guess the freshly harvest ingredient is an extra winner and will also receive the box-set collection.

Ready, set, guess!

The full recipe will be posted tomorrow.

Question of the day: What’s in my soup?

Broccoli, carrots, beets, cabbage, sweet potatoes or yams, cauliflower, leeks, ginger, Jerusalem artichoke, burdock, celery.
I’m tempted to say celeriac but after staring at the photo I think that’s wrong. -Although celeriac, Jerusalem artichoke and radish could all look the same on the inside.

  5. Monika says:

Cauliflower, carrots, beets, sweet potato, cabbage turnip, leeks, broccoli stems, burdock root, ginger, garlic.. my guess

    Radish?
    Cabbage?

Theres so many things that look like could be one or two different things. Its pretty hard!

  8. Katherine says:

I can’t seem to guess 11 but I can give it a whirl. Why not? I think I see:
sweet potato (yam), beets, cauliflower, carrots, leeks, broccoli (stems), jicama. That’s all I got. This is hard :)

  9. Marisa says:

Carrots, red beets, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, green onion, red onion, sweet potato, cabbage, kiwi, mushroom.

  10. Janet says:

    Okay, I’ll try:
carrots, leeks, beets, broccoli, cabbage, sweet potato, cauliflower, garlic, mushrooms, kohlrabi, turnip
And I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that your secret local ingredient is North American Ginseng!

  11. Emily says:

I’m a little slow this morning, but I’ll give it a go:
    1. Carrot
    2. Sweet Potato/Yam
    3. Cauliflower
    4. Beets
    5. Broccoli (stems)
    6. Onion
    7. Celery
    8. Leek
    9. Garlic
    10. Radish

    Carrot
    Sweet potato
    Beets
    Broccoli
    Cabbage
    Onion
    Leeks
    Garlic
    Horseradish
And I’m going out on a limb here – was it a chaga mushroom you harvested (and is my 11th ingredient guess)?

    Hope you enjoyed your soup!

    • Rachel says:

Since Cara said that there have been some very close, yet not perfect guesses, I figure I’ll make another guess. Not sure if this is allowed :) Keep everything the I listed above but scratch the horseradish and chaga mushroom. Then sub ginger and dandelion root (what I’m guessing you harvested) to make the eleven…..crossing fingers!!! :)

      Very fun contest, btw!

    1. sweet potato
    2. carrots
