It’s true. Once again, like the salad dressing/facial toner recipe, most of the ingredients in this awesomely delicious banana coconut bread recipe, would make just the most deliciously moisture rich face mask.
It is a tough call for us isn’t it? But we’re ladies here and we’re already glowingly beautiful so why not whip it all up into a super-powered cake? With chocolate? Or even better, whip it together, keep some aside for a face mask, make the rest into cake and eat the cake while your face mask does it’s work. At the end of it all- you’ll truly be nourished from the inside out.

And I have the PERFECT batch of organic ripe bananas to use for BOTH of these recipes! I can munch on banana bread during the low glycemic lecture tonight! And then afterwards, I can treat myself to a facemask! You rock Meghan girl!
oooooo I think I need to make both of these!!!
Hey Megan,
Fabulous! I have been WAITING for a banana bread recipe, it’s my daughter’s favorite and I hate the traditional ones so much.
Quick question – Azura (my 2 year old) is allergic to eggs. I normally use egg replacer but will it work in your recipe (being gluten free and having many variations on the traditional one, I’m worried it won’t rise)?’
Thank you so much!
*meghan* ACK, sorry I keep doing that!
I just got sent back from the long weekend at my parents with a pair of overripe bananas. HOW ARE YOU IN MY MIND?!
But I have a confession–
Sometimes, when I eat banana bread, the bread accidentally becomes my face mask.
You’re a timely gal with timely recipes, and this is (part of many reasons) why I love you.

My sister made some conventional banana bread last week, which made me want something a little more wholesome. Great timing! I’m also wondering if something besides eggs can be used.
You try egg replacer but it will impact the fluff factor
Just to let you know that I made this last week and it was a HUGE hit with James’ office. I send them all my baking so I don’t eat it all myself!!! I have to confess that I used buckwheat flour instead of coconut flour and I accidentally put 1/2 cup of coconut oil in instead of 1/4 which just kept it moist, but it was still SO yummy.

Is there any way ALL of the sugar can be replaced in this recipe?
Of course! Just won’t be as sweet. Replace it with honey, coconut crystals or just add another banana. All depends how sweet you like things. Hope all is well with you!
Thanks, I’ll try those
I’ve never heard of coconut crystals…. how can that be possible?!
