As promised! Here she be- complete with her ghetto cover that still has the “stock” watermark on the image because I lifted it from the interweb. I am currently awaiting a final cover and final edits but she is coming!

I had wanted to have May be Natural Body Care Month but instead we get Natural Body Care two weeks or so! I will start to focus a bunch of posts on this VERY important issue that we often forget about when it comes to our health. I have Natural Body Care related podcasts and videos coming too- not to mention my amazingly fun and informative Natural Body Care Workshop coming up next weekend where all of the lucky participants will receive the first to be released copies of this delectable tutorial. She is over 70 pages in length and likely still growing a little.

Now, I know that you can’t all be here, in Toronto next weekend for the awesome-town fun workshop (hurry and register if you can!), but you can still be one of the lucky ones to get an advanced copy on May 16th.

A full launch of this delicious tutorial will commence on Tuesday, May 25th and the book will be available for $14.00 with a portion of sales going to support the amazingly necessary work of The Environmental Working Group. There are very few causes that I truly believe in these days, but this is surely one important organization doing amazing research into the effects of environmental chemicals on our health.

What we put on our bodies on a daily basis is as important if not more important than what we put in them. It’s time to move from the kitchen cabinets to our medicine and cosmetic cabinets and take a real look at what is lurking there.

Meghan-

Before too much time gets away from me I wanted to report my experience to you of 5 days of super foods and 3 day green smoothie cleanse in which I participated. My most noticeable reaction to the superfoods was that I was just not very hungry. I am the kind of person who usually gets hungry in between meals and snacks, but it was often that I wasn’t even hungry by the time mealtime came around! The meals were so filling and apparently did a good job of keeping my blood sugar really steady. The recipes were delicious. It was a real pleasure doing it. Thanks for all of the help.

This was my third time doing the green smoothie cleanse and I have to confess it was my first time including use of an enema. I have never considered myself to have a problem with my colon or intestines, but I finally thought to myself  I just don’t know and won’t know until I try it. Doing an enema first thing in the morning (with having taken the psyllium the night before and the lemon and cayenne when I get out of bed) was really eye opening the first day. I had never done an enema before and I was really hesitant – I just thought it was weird and it was something that was out of my comfort zone. But I can now say I think it was really beneficial to clean things out in conjunction with the green smoothie cleanse. It felt so good to massage my intestines as you suggested. I guess there was some flushing out to do! The second day went better than the first and I was more comfortable. By the third day I don’t think there was really anything left to get rid of.  I felt so light after… I almost didn’t want to eat (er, drink) again because I just felt so light and clean. It was a good feeling.

I am SO thankful that you send out these challenges. Not because you expect us to consume smoothies 3 times a day for the rest of our lives, but because in doing so we learn how to integrate these things into our lives a little at a time and to make changes for the better.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

-allison

“I loved your workshop and learned a lot! Your space is beautiful, bright, enlivening and nourishing. I returned home to take a very warm magnesium bath to which I added your steam herbs and the lavender oil I purchased. Amazing! My evening of bliss ended with the application of the body butter-incredibly hydrating. I am very inspired…” Patrizia D
