Win A Copy of the New Tutorial From One of These Awesome Blogs!

As I mentioned, I was overwhelmed with the number of people who opted to help support this new tutorial and spread the word. Though obviously my plan was fairly transparent in wanting to get more peeps in the know about it, my goal remains the same, to spread the health vibe as far and wide as I possibly can. It has proven an ideal strategy that continues to be very accessible, very affordable, very inclusive and at the same time is able to support me in my effort to offer as much info as I can at no charge at all. Thanks also to everyone who emailed, tweeted and facebooked!

Check these fine peeps out and enter their contests to win a copy!

Payment Plan For The Digestive Healing Weekend Retreat

Digestive health is at the root of total health, though sadly, few recognize this. We have IBS, chronic constipation, chronis loosey gooseyness, inflammation in our joints, skin problems, shot nervous system, anxiety disorders, poor sleep, low energy etc and yet, fail to make the connection between how we are  feeling and how we are digesting and assimilating our food. Though these conditions affect men and women of all ages, very often it is the young women in their late teens up to early 40′s that are most effected. This group of women also tends to take better care of everyone else around them then they do themsleves and may be a little low in the disposable income arena.

Josh and I want to make this weekend retreat as accessible as possible. We were able to keep the weekend rate at just $399 but would also like to offer a payment plan option for those who could use a little spacing between payments. If you are interested, please get in touch with me. Together we will work out a way to pay for the retreat in 4 manageable payments of $99.00 over the next three months.

This is your health we’re talking about. Make it a priority and get yourself well and vital. When you are operating at your best, you will be able to make that back in no time, ten fold when you don’t have to waste time with oodles of practitioners, over the counter symptom remedies and bla bla bla. I know you get it!

Awesome May Workshops!

I am forever experimenting with the way I run things and so have decided to take some time off from teaching cooking classes and focus on life changing workshops. I have a line-up of goodies coming in May plus a special offer if you want to join all 4!

Some feedback from the last round:

“Meghan has a larger than life personality.  Her positive energy fills the room and makes for a wonderful learning atmosphere.  The Body Care Workshop is very informative, full of practical tutorials and all sorts of wonderful ‘bits’ of information. Looking forward to attending another session!” – Nick T

This class was quite an eyeopener! I had no idea that there were so many chemicals in conventiaonal beauty/body care products. It was a revelation to learn that there are wholesome, natural ingredients that can be utilized for beauty and body care. I am very glad that I attended and would highly recommend this class”. Eileen

Gluten Sensitivity Interview

I am often approached by students who want to chat with me for various projects. I love sharing the info- as I am sure can tell so when I was contacted by Ryerson Journalism student Romany Williams about discussing my views on Gluten Sensitivity, I was all for it. As luck would have it, I had a last minute cancellation in the following evening’s cooking class and so Romany graciously came on by to take that spot. Have a listen to the interview (and she edited herself out, by the way. I didn’t talk for 5 minutes straight… though I very well could have).

Film Screening: King Corn

Cost: $12.00 / person  RSVP Now (space is limited)
Location: 26 Noble Street, Unit 6 (near Queen and Dufferin)
Time: Wednesday, April 14th 2010, 7:30 – 9:30 pm

What could be better than watching an awesomely inspiring, informative and entertaining documentary about the insanity of the corn industry? Nothing. Nothing could be better. I’ll be giving a brief 15 min. lecture on the importance of whole foods, nutrients lost in the processing and a primer on genetically modified foods along with the health and safety risks associated with them. The we watch the film, big screen style projected on the wall of the loft.

I loved hearing what you had to say on that documentary. Truly I did. :)

SO excited for Making Love in the Kitchen TV. You have a really resonant and contagiously passionate on-screen presence – it’s going to be totally radical. Woohoo!

Hi Meghan, just read the tutorial yesterday – by the way great post and I’m looking forward to next week now! Will hear your thoughts on gluten later today as the whole house is still asleep and the headphones are buried where I can’t find them – as usual for me, the things that I first notice and appreciate are the “little” everyday things like your Basic Super Food Blend. I love experimenting, so great basics and inspiration are more important to me than the actual recipes. Will definitely read the long section about specific benefits of different foodstuffs again to see if I’m inspired to incorporate more into my diet – I’ve already discovered turmeric thanks to one of your posts. A dash of yellow into my kitchen! Thanks for the grand decision to reward everybody with a tutorial! :-)

  4. Corinne says:

Are you doing a green cleanse anytime soon?

I have been suffering with IBS for years, and would love to hear more about your journey and how you taught yourself and others to live with the changes necessary for your health and happiness. It’s really really hard sometimes.

    • The next one is coming up April 23rd. For more info on my journey- check the e-book link on the side for The Healthy Cookie- will take you to a page with more links and info.
