Okay kiddles, this is my question for you.

What does this soup that eats like a meal

these Tempeh Balls (or testicles as I like to call’em) and Grandma Meghan’s Secret Tomato Sauce

this Spicy Dal

these Vegetable Veggie Burgers

and these drool worthy chocolate balls all have in common?Well, I suppose there are many answers to the question of what all these foods have in common.  It is true that they are all picture-worthy beautiful. It is true that they are all totally healthifying. It is also true that they are the creation of the shear genius that is me in the kitchen (okay, maybe that’s a stretch), but they are certainly, definitely, absolutely, totally, completely all delicious and all vegan.

When it taste this amazing, eating healthy is amazing!

That’s right. Vegan food isn’t all about horrific faux-soy creations, and it also doesn’t have to be all about lettuce and birdseed. Nope. Vegan food, or rather, food made without animal products (no need for labels), can be perfectly delicious and wholly satisfying, and really very easy.

With that being said, I am not vegan. I have many days where I am, I have had many weeks where I am. I am sure I have even had many months. The goal of my 5 Days Vegan challenge is simple. To help introduce you to a new way of eating, to get to know your kitchen a little and do a little sumpin, sumpin to kick your health up a notch. You will find enough recipes on this blog and many others to fill five days or, for $12 you can get all the work done for you. Are you in the for the challenge? It begins on Sunday!

Now if you are the type who needs to know why. Like why you should take on this silly challenge and ‘because I said so’ is not a sufficient enough answer. How about these handy dandy reasons.

A second yay for delicious vegan food!
Before I entertained the thought of going vegan, I really thought that I would be eating a lot of salad. This is truly not the case! I believe that I eat better now that I am vegan than I ever did!
I will also chime in on the 5 Days Vegan tutorial – it’s fantastic!! Full of great information for vegans and vegan-curious alike and wonderful recipes!!

Gorgeous healthy food! I am not vegan, only vegetarian, but I too often eat vegan for long stretches. Love to read another blog whose focus is good whole foods and not soy faux meats. :)
