By request (and so many emails) I have updated my recipe index. I will do my best to keep this updated as regularly as possible (at least more often than twice a year), but really, I just like you to get good and familiar with the old guys before you give the newbies a try.
The full list is here. Go nuts, my sweet chefistas and chefistos! You know where to find me. I am free most days for lunch and many evenings for dinner. I’ll even bring my own containers to save you from having to deal with leftovers.
And please- I encourage you to share what you tried, how you made them your own and how delicious your creations turned out!
Enjoy,
Meghan

So many yummy recipes! Love being able to refer all my friends here!
YUM! Thanks for doing this on the day I have to fast for a colonoscopy! LOL!
It gives you something to do! Plan for the rest of your life when you’re not fasting. Sorry to hear about your prep day. So much worse than the actual camera up the pooper if you ask me.
Hi Meghan,
Thanks for updating! A little off topic for today but I have been thinking a lot lately about artificial sweeteners (poison as we both agree and you have posted on) but stevia just seems to be getting more and more popular. In doing a quick search I have seen that you choose to use it on occasion. I would love to see a post or at least your thoughts on this.
I have to say I am quite unconvinced by the claims especially after my experience with the hype and claims surrounding other artificial sweeteners and my eventual experience with those hurting me. Now that the food industry has its hands all over stevia I am seeing processed powders all over the place and in everything and I really don’t see how this can be any better for us?
Yep. Good call on that one. Stevia is a little suspect to me- especially after my effort to get a little processed version and try the green kind. It was so bitter. I too wonder how a green leaf becomes a white as white can be powder. Will get on this soon.
Hey Meghan,
Thanks for posting the full list! Just thought you’d like to know – I was standing in line in my local Longo’s the other day when I struck up a conversation with a man next to me. He ended up telling me that he can’t eat lactose or gluten and he’s been having a tough time finding good food and recipes. He was particularly looking for biscotti. So, I told him to check out your site! It really perked him up, having a place to go for recipes. Now it will all be easier to find. Thanks for all you do. I promise, when I feel worthy, I’ll invite you up to the wilds of Thornhill to share a meal! Janet
I am ready when you are!
I’d love to hear more about Stevia, too. Especially because I just tried a recipe with it today and was not overly impressed. It had the same horrid aftertaste of the chemical sweeteners. Taste aside, however, I’m curious as to whether it is okay to consume.
P.S. I have never done so myself, but I have heard of people who use the green leaf right off the plant as a sweetener (for smoothies or that type of thing). I’m surprised to hear you say it tastes bitter because they reported it as tasting just like a sweet leaf.
The leaf is very sweet. I had a plant in my window for the summer. It’s the processed green powder that is bitter.
thanks! people keep asking me about it/ recommending it to me when I talk about the negative effects of artificial sweeteners and I never know what to say except I don’t trust it! Looking forward to your great research and thoughts as always
Some of those look really good, I should try and make some of your recipes sometime.
sidenote: other (somewhat healthy) bloggies keep addressing it lately like here :
