[...] “Doesn’t everything amazing come from the time we allow ourselves to relax? When we are relaxed is when we connect the best with others, when we feel the best, when we look the best, when we digest the best, and when we laugh the best. No one has ever once said to me, Wow Meghan, you are a glowingly radiant stress-ball. Please tell me how you get that tension in your neck, that broken out complexion, those bags under your eyes and those patches of thinning hair? That bloaty weight gain around your mid-section- so sexy- and that twitchy foot and those gnawed off finger nails. Mmmmm mmmmm. I want some of that hawtness!” Keep Reading [...]

I started a Christmas tradition back in 2000 which I'm pleased to say I'm picking up on again: taking off Dec 23 through Jan 2, with nothing planned. Letting each day unfold as it needs to. Lots of time to lay on the couch and look at the pretty Christmas tree, wander in the woods, watch the clouds. You are so right!

Great post Meghan! I have been trying to de-stress at night with my little 13-week bun in the oven, and it hasn't been easy. I feel like there are a million things to worry about, from whether I'm eating the right foods to whether I should let the dog pull me on our walk to whether that little ache or pain was normal. This post is just what I needed right now! Thanks for the tips...hopefully I can spend a little me-time just relaxing and not worrying!

OKAY....UNIVERSE

I hear you loud and clear

yesterday...a work friend gave me a book to look at..."the art of doing nothing"

This weekend Hubs strongly urged me to give running a hiatus until I get my batteries charged " you never stop" he said

Your post yesterday was a great reminder too..

YES...

and last night...while I was letting my yoga session's magic sink in...(that part where you just lay still on your mat, eyes closed, soaking it all in....) WHAM

lil JJ dropped his Magna Doodle drawing board on the bridge of my nose...I guess he wanted me to draw with him...

either way...I couldn't have been smakced upside the face any harder than that!

I am resting. doing nothing is going to take some work!

xoxo
Thanks again for reading my tired eyes!

I hope it's all right to add crafting in the kitchen! This morning I decided to throw some veggie scraps into a pot to make vegetable broth. My apartment smells heavenly as I just sit and enjoy my tea (and Meghan's blog, of course!).

Yes!!

Good tips too. I would add: Staring out of a window and letting thoughts wander. Daydreaming is a favourite pastime of mine :)

If only conventional baths could actually comfortably fit two lovers. Lovers In The Tub is a nice idea, but it usually turns into Awkward Squirming And Sometimes Injuries In The Tub :(
