Tah-Dah! The brand new e-tutorial is alive and well and just in time for sugar/cake/boozing season. This tutorial will be available for download on Thursday (though hopefully by Wednesday if all goes well). Get ready to pick up your energy, you immune function, lose a few poundages, and gain an oh so simple solution to carb cravings, sugar cravings, 3:00 pm crashes and 4:00 am spinny brain. This is not a diet. This is about living- dare I take David Wolfe’s words and call it a “Live-It”
This is the healthiest way to eat. I promise you this. It is sustainable, it is manageable, it is pretty darn easy, it is realistic and it makes you feel amazing- just after you kick the sugar habit to the curb. Kicking that habit is not so fun.
We’re going Low GI for 5 days. This means sticking with foods that are low on the Glycemic Index. These are foods that are high in protein, high in fibre and low in starchy garbage and sugar that causes our blood sugar to spike, and the then crash like an egg tossed off the balcony of your grandmother’s 11th floor apartment building (sorry- best analogy I could think of).
We will be kicking it Low GI together starting in one week. Yes, my dear “but it’s holiday season, this just isn’t a good time for me” excuse makers, we are going live and feeling alive in the depths of holiday madness. Hate me now, send me gifts later.
Why? Because its so healthy. Not only will sticking to a Low GI plan help keep your energy stable through the holidays, it will help keep your immune system nourished and help you better deal with stress (which includes mother-in-laws, company christmas parties, and drunk uncle Frank asking when your baby is due, when really you just gained a little from last year). It’s a win win all around.
As per usual, the tutorial provides all the reasons why we are going low GI, explains a little of the chemistry and biochemistry in Meghan-speak (meaning not boring), explains the connection between blood sugar and hormones, PMS, weight gain, spinny brain, energy crashes, insulin resistence and type two diabetes. You get the meal plan, a low GI food index chart, the recipes, some additional recipes, and many handy tips, tricks and tools. We’re looking at a 60-pager or so of infoliciousness. Because I am all multi-media like, if you are up for it, you can also get your hands on the audio and/or slide + audio version of my Low Glycemic/Adrenaline Lunch presentation, recorded live in Toronto this past month. These two make a sweet pair.
You got that then? An e-tutorial plus either an mp3 (if you like to listen while in transit or driving or walking or cooking something low GI or something) or a ‘movie’ type file where you can listen to the audio in synch with the presentation slides. Whatever floats your low glycemic boat.
Now is next Monday seriously not going to work for you? Like for real for real? Then get it anyway, stick to it as best you can as we will be ringing in the New Year on January 3rd with another round of the Green Smoothie Cleanse followed by the 5 Days Low GI. This is not a detox, this is a rebalancing, and again- thanks and gifts can come later.
Too excited to wait for the tutorial? Download the Mp3 or .m4v movie file ( each priced at $9.99). Both can be played through your ipod/itunes and quicktime player. What’s the difference?
The Mp3 is just the audio and includes some of the Q and A following the presentation. The video file is the audio plus the pretty little slides that go with it all in a fun little movie form. It is really what you prefer. If you are the type to sit down and watch a presentation on your computer than go for the Video Presentation version which you can watch, if you want audio you can take with you on the go, than go with the Mp3. The Presentation Video is about 36 minutes in length and the Mp3 is about 46 minutes (because it includes Q and A).
Adrenaline Lunch Presentation (.m4v video file) $9.99

I’m excited about this! I’ve been waiting for another Green Smoothie Cleanse because I read such good things about it the last time (and I’ve been trying out my own for breakfast every once in a while).
I could definitely do without the 3 p.m. energy crash this time of year, so count me in!
I’m in – definitely a good way to stay accountable after our consultation last week. If we get the MP3 version, do we get a copy of the slides or no?
Yay! I’m going to recommend this to some people
I had left a comment earlier but it hung up after hitting submit…but anyway what I said earlier was …I’m IN.
I actually was just trying to figure out how to minimize sugar in my diet…I already cut out most empty calorie “candy” and treats.
Thank you Meghan to our dedication to health (and great food)
so interested in this. excellent timing.
Meghan,
Your writing is hilarious! I love it and just might try the low GI challenge because of it.
p.s., kicking the sugar habit is indeed painful
Oh, I am so in! This is exactly what I need. Thanks for sharing and giving us a proverbial kick in the bread-padded butt!:)
I am looking forward to trying this.
I am SO in — I love all these tutorials you offer — can’t wait to read it all! I’m sure it will be top-notch, just like the 3 day green smoothie cleanse and 5 day vegan. Awesome!!
thanks, Meghan
Unfortunately not- it had to be one or the other. The vid file will play on an ipod though.
That works for me. I’m so into this!
