It was a different sort of week here at Making Love In The Kitchen. We took a short vacay from the kitch and entered the land of the loo to discuss the delicately avoided issue of feminine hygiene. In short- we talked tampons, toxins and twa, uh… vag health.
This was an issue I wasn’t sure I should be addressing here, as we like to keep it light and food-loving. In the end, I decided that this is a matter of health- and that have all you lovely ladies reading and so thought it a good thing to share- and girl, oh girl, am I ever glad that I did. With over 100 entries in the contest to win a Diva Cup, numerous comments sharing experiences, not to mention the plethora of emails I received from leaders in the natural fem-care field, it was definitely appreciated.
In case you missed the series, have a read and be sure to check part 1 if you would like to enter the contest. Winners will be announced on Tuesday along with some additional resources for your interest.

Part 3, Tampax Tampons: Toxic Sticks of Death
We needed to take a break from all the ‘pon talk and so Friday we cooked up some For Reals Corny Corn Bread using actually real, fresh off the cob corn. So good!
Wednesday evening’s Sweet Treats and Healthy Desserts class was a load of naturally sweetened fun and I still have two spots open for this Sunday’s Healthy Meal Prep Workshop.
I do hope I get posting regular this week. It’s a hectic one. I am teaching three cooking classes in three days, followed by a night of mayhem as I celebrate my 30th birthday with my closest and sweetest friends and family. I’ve got a weekend of festivities coming next weekend and then I run away for a couple days with my momma. 30 is looking sweet from this side of the gate! Have a great weekend.

A definte THANK YOU for sharing this info — health is more than just food, and any way we can improve our health is great. I think I was living in denial all this time, but now it’s time for action. Out go the tampons!!!
