Fewwwwweeeeeh! What a fantasticaliscious 8 days we just shared. 5 Days of Vegan Love and 3 Days of Green Smoothie Bliss. Did we all learn a good lesson with this? What did we learn? From the amazing emails and comments I received I learned that you learned eating this ways is simple and delicious. I learned that you learned how unexplainably great it is to be regular, to sleep well, to wake up with energy, to be pain and headache free and most important of all- I learned that you learned how much fun you can have making a little love in the kitchen. So good on ya!
Whether you were an active participant in this health challenge or an active reader on the posts about this health challenge, I congratulate you all! Woopity woopy. We did it!
Now- before I pack my bags and head off to Ohio…
1. We have a winner.
Samantha Wagner was the lucky winner of the Don’t Be A Label Whore Guess The Label contest; not because she was right but because the winner was selected at random (the correct answers were a rice cake and Sprite). I would have been happy no matter who won but when I clicked on over to here site- I saw that she makes awesome colourful bags and I do heart the crafters. If you have a moment, pop on over to visit SamMade. And what did Ms. Samantha win? All 3 of the e-tutorials plus a copy of The Healthy: Unbaked. Happy reading Sam!
2. Happy Birthday To Making Love In The Kitchen!
Making Love In The Kitchen turns one this week. She actually turned one last week but we were too busy veganing and green smoothieing. Making Love In The Kitchen had a great year. I have shared 300 posts with you which included nearly 40 episodes of Making Love In The Kitchen (video series). How this site has inspired and how you love it dearly, is what keeps me writing each and every day! How are we going to celebrate this massive milestone? First we will bake up a delicious batch of vegan, gluten-free, Banana Chocolate Chip Cuppins and then we are going to take the week off. I haven’t gone a week without writing for the blog since I began. Beginning tomorrow and for the next seven days, we are having Play It Again Week where I will be reposting some of the best posts (in my opinion and yours, judging by traffic) of the last year. Most of them come with videos so I am sure you will be perfectly entertained in my absence. In my absence? Huh? Where am I going?
3. Ohizza Here I Come
I am running away to an herbal medicine farm in Ohio. Not for good, just for five days. Five days where I will have no access to computers, cell phones or… well I think that is the only technology I use. I will be staying in a building called the Tornado cabin as it was built from a tree that was felled by a Tornado. My kitchen will be housed in a yurt and I imagine my days will be spent strolling along paths lined with herbs, gazing across the Ohio river into West Virginia, swimming sans suit in fresh ponds and generally being the most colourfullly dressed farm girl I can be. But I live in Toronto, Why on earth would I venture all the way down to Ohio to be on a farm when the GreenBelt is only an hour away from me?
All will be revealed upon my return, all will be relieved. Ladies, when was the last time you baked banana chocolate chip muffins, just for yourself? These goodies are coming with me, as a gift to a sweet farmer I adore. Now get baking for the farmer that grows happiness in your life.

Meghan,
I hope that Ohio brings you tons of goodness. Like the other commentors, I can’t wait to read your blog upon your return. I’ve been meaning to post my thoughts on the 5 Day Challenge, so very briefly, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and actually it blew my mind right open! Reading your blog has made a difference in the way I think about food, health and happiness. Thank you.

You picked a beautiful time to visit Ohio. I grew up in Columbus, and fall was always my favorite. My friends own a farm outside of Columbus, if you need some good organic produce on your way home http://www.sippelfamilyfarm.com
Happy Blog-versary! Can’t believe it’s only a year old…seems so mature for it’s age.
In very exciting news, I have somehow managed both my parents to accompany me on the Nourish Your Soul retreat as a sort of 50th birthday present to my mom. She is so excited! I think we’ll be booking it this week. Can’t wait!
Happy Birthday Dear Blog!!!!
It’s been great going back and reading the archives — and I can’t wait to see what comes in the next year!
Have a great time in Ohio!
I didn’t know you were in Ohio. For whatever reason- I always think all blogstresses are in California.
Thanks for the tip! Taking the directions to that farm with me- just in case!
I just got the message from my coordinator down in St. Lucia that you were booked. So exciting!!!
