What are you doing Sunday afternoon? Wait… I am getting ahead of myself.
What a week it has been! There is a buzz around these parts as everyone heads back to school and this sweet city is flooded with celebs for the Toronto Film Festival. No school or movies for me this weekend. It’s all veggie happy good times. Do you have plans? If you have yet to see me in action, it’s always a bit of an adventure. I am presenting all weekend long and I am usually the most surprised by the outcome of these presentations (and the silly things that come out of my mouth). Always fun and always lots of laughs… and that’s just my own good time. Join the fun!
Might I suggest the following:
- Tonight!!!: Live on CBC Radio 3: From anywhere in the world, you can tune in to Lanarama on CBC Radio 3 on Friday, September 11th between 5:45 and 6:15 pm (EST) where I will be tooting the horn of 5 Days Vegan
- Saturday, September 12th: Free Live Cooking Demonstration at The Vegetarian Food Fare (Harbourfront Centre, downtown Toronto). At 2:00pm on Saturday, September 12th I will be showing off my cooking skills and discussing the benefits of a plant-based, soy, potato, corn, sugar and gluten-free diet with my presentation I have inappropriately named Making Love In The Kitchen: Doing It Veggie Style. No charge for the event, plus I give out samples. Bonus! Come by and say hello. Would love to know who actually reads me here!
- Sunday, September 13th: Come check out my shiny new kitchen in person with my Healthy Meal Prep Workshop at the newly reno’d Making Love In The Kitchen Headquarters. Sunday from 2:00pm -4:00pm, see how easy it is to prepare for a week of healthy veggie based eating, how to set-up your kitchen and sample the goodness that I make live before your very eyes. Cost: $55.00. Register here.
In this two hour workshop, you will learn how to prep your kitchen for a week of healthy eating, learn simple tips and tricks for healthy eating whether you live alone or with others, how to get yourself organized for the week, as well as sample a variety of very yummy in the tummy healthful goodness, prepared fresh during the workshop. Part lecture, part workshop, part cooking demo, all great!
Each participant will receive a complete tutorial that includes:
- a kitchen organizing checklist
- a weekly meal plan
- a schedule to get those meals made quickly and efficiently
- recipes
- shopping lists
- nutrition and cooking information
- simple and healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack ideas
My goals is that you will leave the session with all the tools you need to get yourselves on the right track with healthy eating and the motivation to stay there.

Wish I could come show support!
I wish I could be there!! But I’m in Australia, so kinda unlikely.
I am totally in love with your kitchen, btw!
Hi Meghan; would like to sign up for the 5 day vegan challenge, but the link is broken it seems. Can we adjust the menu for 2? Want to include my husband
I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about the books (I bought the 5 Day Challenge and the 3 Day Green Cleanse), but after buying and then reading, I have to admit they are fantastic and definitely worth the money! The information provided is so helpful and the recipes look so yummy, my husband and I can’t wait to try the Challenge and then Cleanse. We’re planning on starting Monday instead of Tuesday though, just because it fits our schedule better.
I am so looking forward to the 5 Days Vegan. We stopped by Whole Foods (an awesome grocery store an hour away from my house) on the way home from my neice’s birthday party tonight — bought lots of yummy organic produce –kale, chard, dandelion greens, fennel, figs, apples, spinach, etc. Yummmmy!!
Me too!
I checked the links and they seem fine, so not sure… And yes- all recipes can be made for 1,2 or oodles of people- however many are in your house and want to play the vegan game.
