Uh… believe it or not, we’re almost done. The electrical is done. Plumbing is mostly done, counter tops have arrived (well 50% of them… someone made a mistake on the order and it wasn’t me… hello Lowe’s!). I just came back from four days of bliss at my cottage and went into full force unpacking and reorganizing. In another 24 hours, I hope for this to look more homey like. I have a lot of work ahead of me!

Barbi’s Dream House kitchen is coming along. Pink pink pink.

Never in my whole life did I think I would be excited about appliances. I am excited about appliances! Look at that beauty!IMG_6852

Looks like my little sleeping spot is just about ready for me. Bright yellow that Benjamin Moore called Orange Sky. I like to call it Mango. And don’t you love the chandelier over my bed. Make love in the kitchen and dine in the bedroom!IMG_6853

Cooking station number two on the left, my work area straight ahead and my new giant kitchen table full of things waiting to be organized.IMG_6854

Just received my copy of your book :-D

The mango wall makes me joyously happy. It’s contagiously warm.

  3. The storm before the calm! Looks like it is definitely a work in progress :)

Looking forward to seeing the finished product, though the work in progress photos have been most educational to one who dreams of renovating her own kitchen. I’m starting to like my “vintage” seventies kitchen more and more all the time.

Really love your colour choices. And especially your “bedroom nook”. You have a real flair for mixing colours.

Ooh! I can wait to see the final product!!

I LOVE that your bed is nestled right up to the window…that’s always my favourite spot too :)

  7. It’s looking beautiful! 17 days – not so bad. Remodeling a kitchen can be a very long undertaking. I can’t wait to see how it looks when it is all done!!

  8. I was almost beginning to think that my former kitchen would have been just fine. Have put in a full days work on it and my first load of dishes are in my brand new dishwasher right now. So worth it!
