Could be true but I am severely allergic to black pepper so I'll simply have to take in as much as I can get.

Meghan...have been reading that for Turemric to be assimilated by body...must be mixed with black pepper (not simply peppers). Ideally, it must be dissolved in oil (olive, linseed...)..reccomendations from David Servan-Schreiber from his ANTI-CANCER book...
mix 1/4 tsp turmeric poweder with 1/2 tsp olive oil and a generous pinch of black pepper.
Turmeric is apparently the most powerful natural antiinflammatory identified today. Helps stimulate apoptosis (suicide) in cancer cells and inhibits angiogenesis (blood vessel support to tumors). In the lab, it enhances effectiveness of chemo and reduces tumor growth. YAY!
So talk about healing soup!
thank you for all you share with us here, Meghan

Sounds good. So I take it, it was a dash of this and that, as far as as the spices and falvours and herbs were concerned.

Is tamari, tamarind?

I've had amazing treatments from Elana and was lucky to try some of her cooking. Glorious! I found the crystals enhanced the deepest relaxation. Good to know this information is being shared!
