My brand shiny new appliances arrived today! How exciting. So exciting in fact that I promptly covered them in sheets and towels and scraps of bubble wrap because my kitchen isn’t nearly ready for them.
Today my dad announced that he liked having me back at home. I am pretty sure children pushing 30 really shouldn’t be having breakfast every morning with their parents, but maybe that’s just me. The capper this morning was the worm that wriggled out of my blueberry in my bowl of oatmeal. I don’t have worms in my blueberries in my own kitchen. I’m just saying.
Mom and Dad, you know I love you to bits but I want to go home!
When oh when will my kitchen be ready?
The current state of things.
If we are on schedule, we’d be two days away from completion. What do you think? Today I introduced my best friend’s Brian and Stephen to Coconut Water. I thought it might accelerate things. Nope. That’s them welding.
So let’s look on the bright side of things. My cabinets are done and they are pretty as a rasberry rhubarb pie.
This, my fine feathered friends was sheer excitement. A dishwasher that is not named Meghan! These two guys temporarily became my new best friends.

I am off tomorrow on a yoga retreat. I will work all my manifesting powers to have my kitchen magically complete and back in order on my return. Let’s all focus our energy on that please please pretty please. If not… the recipes will be few and far between in the coming weeks.

I had a question for you btw. I had a kombocha tea last night. i think it was a 12 oz. bottle and i drank half before a baseball game and the rest after the game. It made me sooo lightheaded and I woke up this morning feeling off and now midway through the day my headache/lightheadness is acting up again. oh and my stomach has had pains. what are your thoughts I thought Kombocha was super healthy. what gives?

There’s so much to be excited about!! New appliances including a dishwasher, pretty pink cabinets and yoga! With all this positive energy, your reno is going to be done before you know it!
The colour of that cabinet blew me away. I would never have had the guts to choose it, and it looks so amazingly fantastic. I suspect your entire kitchen is going to be incredible when it’s done and I can’t wait to see the pics!

It’s exciting to watch the new appliances and fixtures roll in because you know you’re on your way to having your new cozy kitchen!
Did you do anything different with the lighting in the kitchen? There are some really nice lighting options that can transform the feel and look of the kitchen.
Coconut water? Will have to give that a try, enjoy coconut.
I think the number of sites that make an effort to “grow their fan base by communication” is usually on the rise. Many people jumped into creating web sites and writing without realizing the importance of creating a relationship with their visitors. Like you’ve here, congrats.
A lot of Kombucha that you buy bottled has sugar- so double check that or what else might be in it. And also remember that just ’cause it’s healthy, it might not be healthy for you. If only one size fit all, I know my job would be much easier.
