This was a week dedicated to nourishing our souls, not through food but through good thoughts, fun, laughter, music and creativity. These are all equally if not more important than what we eat and whether we soak our grains or kept to any strict diet. This week I introduced you to Byron Katie, offered a selection of my favourite songs and some of my favourite people. I received massive amounts of heartfelt emails which I love love love to get and I do my best to respond to them all (sorry if I have not as yet). Have a great weekend and be sure to check back next week for lots of Caribbean themed cooking in preparation for Caribana.

I finally updated my recipe index. I welcome all feedback and always love to hear about the modifications you have made or would suggest (especially as I am well in to writing my cook book)

I got a little deeper with Byron Katie, asking her to go through The Work on one of the phrases I hear most often in my practice “I can’t give up…. (here’s where you fill in the blank for yourself”
Tuesday: Nourished By Sunsets
It is rare that I get to see a sweet sunset on an average day living in downtown Toronto. This was a reminder as to all the beautiful sunsets I have seen in the last year or so and a reminder to all that are still to come.
Wednesday: A Conversation with Byron Katie, Part 3
In the final part of the interview, we get to the real gift of The Work: freedom. Releasing ourselves from believing our own stressful thoughts brings us to a place of absolute freedom and happiness.

Another awesome song by a great artist and an introduction to a very special person in my life, my friend Alyssa who introduced me to Brett Denen and so much else.
Thursday: Nourished by Nourishment (video)
Here I show off my professional video all about cooking with other people and the goodness that comes from preparing a meal with love and fun. New classes begin this fall!

Where does your kale come from? Who cleaned your garlic? When was the last time you ate snap peas off the vine? Then go do it! Field Trip will show you the way.

A great song by Mishka and a little intro to my friend Adam. Two things that nourish me.
