Another lovely summer week come and gone. They are slipping away all to quickly. The demolition on my kitchen is beginning in T minus 1 week. Enjoy the recipes while they last. I imagine soon there will be much on picnics and kitchen-free meals.
Monday: Miso Hungry (Recipe)
Didn’t you always wonder what miso soup was made of? Me too! Apparently miso soup is made from miso. Who knew?
Tuesday: Hocus Pocus Natural Health Care-A-Magocus
I was pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming response to my post on the amount of nonsense out there that gives natural health a bad name. Thank you to everyone who posted positive and sent me power-to-you emails. Always nice to know who is reading and what you think, especially on important issues such as this one.
Wednesday: A Thing For Balls, These With Brown Rice (Recipe)
Sometimes cooking becomes like an art project for me. I see something I like (or in this case taste) and than figure out how to make it. That is the most fun part of cooking and these brown rice balls were a big hit! If you think of wonderful filling ideas, be sure to post a comment.
Thursday: An Italian Man/Basil Love Story, Part 1 (Recipe)
The telling of this story from way in my past may have been inspired by a little cabin fever. I had been at my cottage and sitting inside after three days of rain. Either way, a great bread came of it, and the telling of the story made me giggle. Still waiting for Erik Carvhalo to add me as a friend on Facebook.
Friday: An Italian Man/Basil Love Story: Part 2 (Recipe)
This is likely the point when Erik Carvhalo de-friends me on Facebook after the love affair fizzles out (sorry to ruin the ending). Again a great recipe. Never enough ways to use Basil, this time in a lemon basil pesto.
Have a great weekend!

Love the photos of all of your delicious looking creations – they always look so full of color, crisp and vibrant. Do you use a professional photographer and or fod stylist or do you take your own photos?
