This is kind of like when you take a picture of a picture. Blog equivalent. The blog world, despite (or maybe in spite of) my involvement, is still a bit weird to me. I put these words, recipes, health tips, personal information and all of it out there in the interweb of information, never knowing in whose office or living room I may appear.
The emails and comments I get that are full of kindness, appreciation and praise are overwhelming to me. I don’t feel like I am doing anything particularly inspiring and as I commented to a friend the other day- I am hopeful that most of my readers never meet me, if only that I might be able to continue inspiring them, rather than discovering I am just regular little me. Like most people I know, I am simply doing the work I love with passion, conviction and determination, following my heart, and leaving the rest to the energy that is out there to do and get done all that should, will and needs to happen in my life for me to achieve my goals. And those goals are really to simply help as many others as I can to feel their best so that they might be able to do the work they love to do and allow their minds to rest so they might better serve what is in their hearts.
With all of that said, I was sweetly surprised when Ashley over at Dancing Through Life bestowed upon me a little blog award accompanied by the following:
“Meghan is my new hero. Seriously…. I instantly loved her story and her blog. I’m SO excited to start cooking classes with her very soon!”
Ashley and I met on Thursday night at the first week of my four week cooking class. She wrote all about it here, and was sweet enough to continue her praise of me even after we met. Fewf. Was a little nervous about that.
As part of receiving this little blog award. I am supposed to pass it along. These sites have gained huge popularity because of the amazing quality of content and images. I am only supposed to list five but I have never been good with rules, directions or filling out forms. Multiple choice tests made me insane. I need short answer and essay questions so I can write, draw, and have a little freedom in my expression.
My Fave Life Loving, Nourishing, Fulfilling, Enlightening and Enlivening Blogs
Elana’s Pantry: This is seriously my most favourite favourite favourite food blog. Elana comes up with the most inventive and delicious health and sustainably focused recipes. Her flour-free desserts are works of total food creative genius. Her photos are always mouth watering, her stories engaging and how could you not love a woman who developed a healthy Twinkie? As I have told her before, my regret is that I have shared this site with so many people- when I show up with something I cooked for them- they always know where it came from.
Diets, Desserts and Dogs: Great recipes, tales of life, nutrition information and a newly releases fan-fabulous-tastic cook book and blogstress Ricki is also a wonderfully supportive supporter of all the blogs she loves. And I love that about her.
The Best Life Ever: Not a food/health blog but a love/life blog. A friend turned me on to Kevyn and Stacy’s blog and then a completely different friend appeared in her blog. And then weirdness of weird, I found myself at Kevyn and Stacy’s house for said mutual friend’s bridal shower. K and S insist that they live the best life ever and reading their blog you’d believe it to. Nothing better than seeing the sunshine and rainbows every day of our lives and this delightful, cool, fashionable, loving couple with a wee baby on the way do just that.
Nourish Me: If a blog is something that can be described as beautiful, than this one surely is. Frame worthy images, descriptively warm words, simple, decadent, delicious whole recipes. Internet based loving goodness.
In The Raw: Delicious raw food recipes, a beautifully designed site, vibrant and awesomely inspiring food photography and my favourite feature- Friday Food Porn with the most magnificent looking raw food you ever did see.
Documentographer: First she photographed my BF Vanessa for her book cover, and than I have her do my pics and than sent her along to my other BF Macy and then my friend Stuart caught on. Catherine has become a wonderful friend and she is maybe the best in the whole world at what she does. She captures people at their most beautiful from the inside out. She is delightful, sweet, very funny, beautiful… I might just have a girl crush. She makes me want to put complete stranger’s wedding photos and baby photos on my wall.
Disease Proof: Great posts about preventative and natural health care. It is rare that I find blogs that share my philosophy around food, nutrition, health, and disease prevention. This one most certainly does. Posts are informative, short and to the point and makes scientific studies and generalized recommendations highly accessibly and understandable to the general public.
For the blogs I have mentioned, I am awarding you the above Super Blog award. I know these blog awards aren’t for everyone, but should you choose to pay it forward- the idea is to post the award and your five (or more) fave blogs on your site.

Hey Meghan I just wanted to let you know that I made your pudding today and it was great!! I made it with cashew butter instead of grinding the nuts and used 3/4 c of water. so good. It tastes just like a chocolate covered banana in pudding form. yum!
What a gracious gift from someone who I so admire and respect. Thank you.

Thank you!!!! You are so sweet — in the healthy, too much is not a bad thing, kind of way.
