I am always a little in awe of people who can cook and than make their creation look like art. Mine, though tastes amazing, never looks like art. This is as close I’ll ever get to my recipes being art. No- this is not my work. Just my recipes.
I have many talented people in my life. But the best is when I am related to them. I, of course, have mentioned before my mom, and my dad. I have yet to mention my cousin Elain. Elain is actually my dad’s first cousin but my kindred spirit- having spent her life travelling around the world and doing any number of creative projects. Kites were her passion for a long time and she can now be found out on Vancouver Island sketching the goodness at the local farmer’s market.
As a surprise, she sketched out some of my recipes that I am having framed to hang in my kitchen as soon as I get a kitchen with walls (ah the loft living- walls are few and far between). With her permission, I have posted them. Feel free to download and if you would be interested in having her do some work for you- post a comment on this page and she can send you a link to view her other work. Her website is
She created works of art of the my recipes for Drool Worthy Balls, as well as the strawberry chocolate cake version of that recipe along with the Banana Coconut Almond Heaven
I love getting your comments and questions so please leave some. I do my best to answer and respond but I am currently travelling with limited internet access. I will respond when I am back home. Thanks!

LOVE love love these!! The link to her site didn’t show up though.
Hope you’re having a glorious time!
Those have to be turned into a cookbook. Seriously.
Very cute!
I hope you’re having a fun time and I look forward to any stories you bring back to share with us
These recipe cards are adorable! And I just have to try the chocolate strawberry one.
These are great! I know they’ll look lovely hanging all in a row on a kitchen wall. They remind me a little of the Ben + Jerry’s ice cream book – deliciously fun!
This Vancouver Islander would love to be in touch with your cousin. I do have a small art project I’ve been contemplating, but haven’t the art talent to do it myself. Good timing Meghan.
So pleased you all liked Elain’s illustrations. When the cook book time comes- We will definitely be working together on a few of them!
