We Have a Winner

Many of you were very very close on this one. What amazed me is how many of you guessed an Yves brand product. I assumed (wrongly) that most people who ate Vyes products, didn’t know how synthetic and chemical they were. I, personally, do not trust the labelling on Yves products after I ate their canned chickpeas, ingredients included chickpeas, water and salt, and had a horrible MSG reaction.

So to all you guessers who suggested an Yves product… you were halfway right.  Though Ben concurred with Debi, Debi got the answer in first so she is the official winner of the Guess The Ingredient List # 2 Conest and the first to win a bag of “My Favourite Granola” in the Raw variety. The results of the first contest are here.

And what was the answer?

Water, soy protein, wheat gluten, canola oil, evaporated cane juice, natural flavour, salt, torula yeast, spices, carrageenan, wheat starch, beetroot powder, citric acid, potassium chloride, vitamins and minerals (thiamine hydrochloride, riboflavin, niacinamide, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin, calcium pantothenate, ferric orthophosphate, iron oxide, zinc oxide, dimagnesium phosphate, dipotassium phosphate).

This is the ingredient list for Yves Vegetarian ‘Bologna’, which I believe puts this food product in the ‘Better Off Eating Nothing’ category.

The next contest will be posted in a couple days with more chances to win bags of My Favourite Granola.

As I await the final packing for sale of the granola, a waiting list is building. If you are interested in being added- leave a comment or email me and I will send you size options, prices and shipping/pick-up details.
