Let's Get Cooking

So the economy is biting the big one and we are all needing to make adjustments on our priorities, how we live, what we need versus what we want and ooking for ways to save money and improve health.

Here is my solution: get cooking…. from scratch!

Next week I am beginning a four-week, whole foods based cooking program. There are just a couple of spots left so email me at meghan@meghantelpner.com if you are interested.

All recipes are whole foods, plant  based, and  we will explore alternative grains, raw foods, grain-free cooking, quality vegetarian protein, allergen free deliciousness, sprouting, fermenting, dehydrating, soaking, simmering, steaming, roasting, grilling, baking, and of course- eating! You will leanr the simplest and most economical techniques for preparing simple, health supportive meals.

Here are the details:

4 Tuesdays: February 17th, 24th, March 3rd and 10th
Cost for four classes:$210
Cost for single class: $60

These are not your typical cooking classes or demonstrations. Capping the group at six people, this unique 4-week cooking programs enable you and the other participants to have a hands on cooking experience. In the relaxed and inspiring setting of an original artist’s loft space, you will have the opportunity to play in the kitchen, make great food, learn about all sorts of health and nutritional issues, and ask any questions you may have. These small groups serve as an intimate social gatherings where you get to meet new people, dare I say- network a little, and then sit down to a delicious, nutritious and healthful meal.

By the end of the four-week program, you will be fully inspired in a new, whole foods direction. You will have gained a huge amount of knowledge around the nutritional and healing benefits of whole foods, have learned incredibly easy and simple ‘from scratch’ cooking methods and techniques, been exposed to and sampled all sorts of new foods and flavours, met a fabulous group of people and most importantly- had a wicked awesome time.

Note: All menus are vegetarian and free of dairy, gluten (wheat, rye, spelt, kamut), yeast, corn, soy, and sugar. Some recipes may contain eggs. Nuts are used in most classes.. Please specify any personal food restrictions when reserving your space in the class.

In each class, we will make an appetizer, a soup, a salad, a main course dish, a side dish, dessert and a healing herbal tea suitable to the foods consumed.
