It is the last day of 2008 and what a year it has been!
I am not one to make a habit of dwelling on the past or contemplating the future, for all goodness comes right now, in the present moment. However, with this year coming to an end, and a new one on the horizon, we are given a benchmark in time. We have this opportunity then to think back on where we were last year at this time and think of all that has happened in the months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and mere moments that have come and gone.
Of course in the span of a year there will be both the good and the bad, the sunshine and the storm clouds; however, as we move in to the New Year, often we spend the time thinking of all the things we want to change and improve upon.
How about focussing on the good too? How about taking a moment to think of all the amazing things that happened in the last year. All the blessings that came into our lives, whether expected or unexpected.
I have thought much about it in the last few days and I have compiled my list and I suggest you doing the same. I have heard from many people that this was a very challenging year and that they are happy to be moving on to a fresh new one. Another great exercise is to make a list of what we might consider the bad stuff, and then list all the good things that resulted from those challenging experiences.
The greatest thing we can take into the New Year is positive energy and optimistic intention. Get the goodness radiating and I will see you in ’09!
Here are my highlights of 2008.

Yeah….optimism…such a transformational tool that one! I-t can move mountains and cause immense shifts in the world around us en masse.
Lovely post this. Have a great 2009
