It is my absolute pleasure, honour, and delight to introduce to you Ms. Liz. You’ll love her!
Liz emailed me about a month ago with a proposal that I just couldn’t refuse. Despite never having met before, she chose me to help her out with this challenge. Liz gives her reasons here and needless to say, I was flattered.
Liz wanted to get healthy and just didn’t know where or how to start. Given that most people are happier not knowing, when someone actually wants the truth that I work to share, well, it is hard for me to resist. Liz and I worked out a little trade where I would put together a totally customized Personal Health Program for her and she would follow it, word for word, recommendation for recommendation, and document the whole experience.
So please check out Diet Rehab: A Twelve Grain Program. Subscribe, add it to your RSS feed, read it, learn from it and love it.
I am often told that there is so much information on my site (and in the media in general) that people just don’t know where to start in making the transition. What appealed to me about Liz is that she is just like you. She is 28, working on her post-grad degree, lives on her own in downtown Toronto, has a fondness for peanut butter, runs a couple times a week, goes out drinking with her friends, and essentially just wants to be healthier- as we all do.
The first step in her conversion was my conducting a complete nutritional intake, followed by The Cupboard Cleane. She has already started trying new restaurants, hitting up some food/eco events, trying to buy local and organic, is confused about what to snack on at the movies and is really just trying to find her way on to the healthy train in a manner and within a budget that works for her.
Join her in the journey. I guarantee you will relate to the challenges she will face in this transition. Perhaps you will learn from her, hopefully be inspired, and even consider checking yourself in to Diet Rehab.
I will be working with her throughout the program, answering questions, responding to her blog, and introducing her to my little nutrition world; in part because I want to see her succeed, in part because I want to prove to the doubters that this healthy eating/healthy living thing actually works, in part because it is my passion and my life to help people feel their best and mostly because I think she is awesome.
